   not to mention Egyptian and Jewish tales of parting seas and fire from the sky (Exodus).

   3600 years before that, 7-8 thousand years ago, we have the sudden formation of the Black sea by massive deluge, and 3600 years before that Atlantis sank according to Plato (ice ages, etc)
